What’s Data Machine Intelligence Solutions' (DMI) mission?
We are passionate technologists and product-oriented people who love making things that matter to their users — that make sense to them!
We believe that today’s digital tools offer an improvement in almost every aspect of life.
Data Machine Intelligence Solutions is active in two sectors of industry: (1) High tech industries like Aeronautic & Space, Finance or Logistics. (2) Building and implementing digital strategies and products for various business needs for SMEs. Our partners in the Mittelstand.
Let`s dig deeper: What is your team working on — what are the challenges?
One aspect is building application software for extending AI-core systems & advanced user interface concepts for high-tech industries. For example, visualising simulation data for industry primes like Airbus.
Then there is also a broader scope of developing digital strategies and implementing the full range of digital products, including web and mobile applications for various clients with more local nature, for example, an AI software for editorial offices and publishers.
What does the tech stack at DMI look like?
We always try to find the middle ground between new technologies and technologies we have already mastered: Get out of your comfort zone, but stay within a reasonable parameter for the client and the project.
Coming from an Enterprise background, for the frontend, we usually try to stay within a web browser environment for all its obvious advantages — Typescript, with sound and established frameworks like React, ReST and GraphQL for the backend. The backend can be Next.js- or Express-based. Spring and Spring Boot, and MongoDB or PostgreSQL as database.
We are hoping for a Rust/Rocket project in the future but have not yet found a suitable use-case that qualified that decision.
How has DMI adapted to the challenges of the Covid pandemic?
The pandemic was challenging for the team, especially regarding direct customer interactions. But more than this, it limited our ability to personally meet the talents we need for the projects and joint-product developments that we want to achieve in the following years. Today we work even more flexibly than we did before the pandemic.
